This Non Alcoholic Apple Cider Sangria is fruity, refreshing, sweet and great for holiday entertaining! I like making this drink for holiday parties and it can be enjoyed by everyone. The addition of all those fruits make it look so festive and pretty.
This non-alcoholic apple cider sangria is another addition to the list of non-alcoholic drink recipes (orange rosemary mocktail, tamarind mocktail) that I have shared for the festive season. I love making this drink because not only is it very easy to make but it is also pretty to look at. This would be so great to serve at Thanksgiving and Christmas!
The only prep work you need to do for this recipe is to chop the fruits. And I have used the in season fruits here – apples, pear, oranges and pomegranate. Cranberries would also work well here for that festive touch.
Once your fruits are chopped, you only need to mix everything together in a large pitcher or bowl. Make sure to use a large pitcher, it should have a capacity of at least 2 liters. You can also use a large glass bowl to make this drink.
Ingredients
Apple cider: Use your favorite apple cider but make sure it’s plain cider and not sparkling. Also don’t use the sweetened cider here. I have honestly found the best apple cider at a local farmers market. It was from a local farm and it was so good!
Sparkling water: I recommend using the lime or lemon-lime sparkling water for this drink. It adds just the right amount of freshness that you need.
Fruits: Since I make this for the holidays, I tend to use the fruits that are in season around that time- apples, pears, pomegranate. Some cranberries would be very nice too.
How to Make Non-Alcoholic Apple Cider Sangria
- Chop 1 medium Granny Smith apple, 1 medium HoneyCrisp apple into 1-inch cubes, with skin on. Also chop 1 pear into 1-inch cubes without removing skin. Slice 1 large orange into round slices. Remove pomegranate seeds from a large pomegranate and keep them ready. You would need 1/2 cup seeds for this recipe.
- Add the prepared fruits to the glass pitcher, you can reserve some for garnish if you want. I used a 2 liter capacity pitcher for this. Add 750 ml of apple cider to the pitcher.
- Now, add 750 ml of lime sparkling water to the same pitcher.
- Stir with a spoon and refrigerate 30 minutes before serving. Pour into glasses and serve. You can garnish with cinnamon sticks or a twig of rosemary before serving.
Decorating Serving Glasses
To make the glasses look festive, you can coat the rim with sugar. Take some sugar on a plate. Rub a lemon slice on the edges of the glass and then dip the rim of the glass into that sugar, rotating it constantly so that the sugar gets coated on all sides.
Tips & Notes
- You can add sugar if you prefer to make this drink sweeter. I didn’t add any.
- If you prefer a more fizzy drink, add the fruits to the apple cider and let it sit in the fridge for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Then add the lime sparkling water, stir and serve immediately.
- Add some rosemary twigs and fresh cranberries for more flavor. Garnish with a cinnamon stick before serving for that festive touch.
